Kakuro

Sudoku got you burned-out? Kakuro consists of a playing area made up of filled and empty cells, much like a crossword puzzle. Some cells contain a diagonal slash from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. These cells also contain one or two numbers, called clues. A number in the top right corner is a clue for the 'across sum' and a number in the bottom left corner is a clue for the 'down sum'. The object is to insert the digits between 1 and 9 into the empty cells so that the sum of the empty cells equals the numbers in the clues associated with them. No digit may be used more than once in each sum.

Jason Fuller wrote this proof-of-concept application that utilizes MSN's Virtual Earth to display both road and aerial maps on your Windows Mobile device. It has a basic search that uses a name, address, zip code, or Lat/Long coordinates of a place to retrieve and display maps. You can also zoom in/out of the map using the menu, or the "action" button on your device. Not all the listed menu functions are working, such as the "Find a contact" and "GPS", but it's still very useful and worth installing on your device!
