Scary - incommunicado in Israel

I was fortune enough to be able to visit Israel last February to celebrate my and Israel's 60th birthday. Let us pray that fear, hatred, and distrust can leave the Middle East, so everyone will feel comfortable visiting this ancient, beautiful, and holy land to so many.

I depended on my AT&T Tilt for E-mail, phone, and Internet laptop connection as we traveled throughout the land. However, I found it increaslingly difficult to maintain connections and phone service, despite rebooting. Using desktops at hotels I contacted AT&T who couldn't help. I also contacted our lead blogger, Werner.

Werner gave me the solution: a hard reset. Unfortunately, doing so means losing all installed software and data (files, media, etc). Fortunately, I had my most important software in CAB files on a storage card, with passwords in Iliumsoft eWallet. My media files were on a storeage card. That meant, within a half an hour, I could get my Tilt in a state similar before the reboot.

I preformed the hard reset, and that fixed the problem!
