Sprint’s HTC Touch Diamond/Pro
We’ve already had quite a bit of coverage of these new devices, so the basics must by now be familiar. Both feature the very impressive TouchFLO 3-D interface. The Touch Diamond from has 4GB of storage, a 2.8-inch display, and a 3.2-megapixel camera/camcorder. It will be $250 after rebate with a two-year contract. The Touch Pro adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a microSD slot for expansion. It’ll cost $300 after rebate and with a two-year contract.
Unique to Sprint’s offering is over-the-air music downloads and live and on-demand TV channels.
You can read the press release on the Sprint web site, as well as find fact sheets: Touch Diamond and Touch Pro.
MobileTechReview has a thorough review of the Sprint Touch Diamond, including a video. They conclude that it’s one of the hottest devices of 2008 and that “HTC and Sprint have got it right! This is the best Windows Mobile phone that Sprint has ever released, assuming you can live without a hardware keyboard. It’s fast, it’s cool, attractive and packed with an excellent set of features and specs.”
We’ve also covered the Samsung i900 Omnia quite a bit. This iPhone look-alike also may be one of the hottest devices of 2008. You can find a recent review on Tracy and Matt’s Blog.
