The question above is also pretty common; I've answered questions like that dozens of times on various Pocket PC boards. This is why I'm also devoting an entire blog entry to it. The best resource of pinouts is http://pinouts.ru/ ; the PDA pinouts can be found on this page there. Please remember that, in general, all models of a particular brand have, in general, the same (interchangeable) pinout, except for some well-known exceptions: - the Dell Axim x50v/x51v pinout is incompatible with any other Axims (because of the VGA out) - the Dell Axim x50 series is different from the x5 series - all iPAQ's have exactly the same pinout (alternative scheme here), except for the old h31xx/h36xx/h37xx series. (Incidentally, this is why you can use any iPAQ cable with even the latest iPAQ's!) There're even cross-brand/manufacturer compatibilities; for example, several Asus and Fujitsu-Siemens models have the same pinout. For example, the Pocket Loox 720 uses (except for some additional functionality like audio in/out on the synchronization socket) the same pinout as even the first Pocket Loox, the Pocket Loox 600 and several Asus models like the a716, the a730(w) and the a620. This all means if you don't find the pinout of a particular device, don't be afraid: devices of the same (or, in cases - see the Asus - Fujitsu-Siemens case, with other) manufacturer (except for Dell) will most probably have the same pinout.- Login or Register to post comments
