Solopalmari has just published their review of the new Fujitsu-Siemens flagship model, the N560. It can be found here; the Babelfish "translation" here.
The review is also discussed at FirstLoox and PPCT.
My comments:
- the battery life doesn't seem to be very good - as could be expected from a 1100 mAh battery. That is, you may end up having to buy a replacement or an extended battery - just like as with the Dell Axim x50v/x51v or the Asus a730(w).
- one of the most important questions, the GPS sensitivity, isn't really answered by the review (they will return to the question in another article). It's, however, good news that the GPS receiver is not placed behind the screen - placing it behind the shielded screen would have resulted in a perceivable sensitivity degradation.
- much as the fact that the PDA has the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (with all its problems - no Bluetooth PAN, for example), it at least supports A2DP (Hi-Fi stereo sound over BT). This is certainly good news, given that, for example, the (comparable) Dell Axim x51v still has no A2DP support. (Albeit, according to some people, the new, A08 Dell Axim x51v ROM is on its way, hopefully with built-in A2DP.)
- Unfortunately, there's no direct screen comparison (color saturation, viewing angle, polarization evenness etc. - I'll publish a how-to tutorial on making decent, comparative screenshots of this stuff in the near future BTW) of the N560 with other devices. The N560 is said to have a very good screen though - at least as good as the iPAQ hx4700, the Pocket Loox 718/720 and the HTC Universal.

I tested this camera for a client. I didn’t have the light running for more than 15 minutes. The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. Tried returning for exchange and had to put up quite a fight. Anyone else seen this? http://www.batteryfast.co.uk
