Q: What voice controller apps are there?
A: As far as "generic" (not, for example, voice operation-capable IR remote controller apps) controller apps are concerned, there're three:
Microsoft Voice Command (current version: 1.5)
VITO Voice2Go (current version: 1.1)
Fonix VoiceCentral (current version: 3.0)
Of the three, it's the Microsoft Voice Command that I really recommend. It was even able to identify my spoken Finnish contact names (pronounced in a Finnish way), which is pretty good for a program that is meant for English speakers.

Note that I have disqualified the old IBM ViaVoice (last version: 1.1.7), because it is not developed further and can only run on some old iPAQ's. The one downloadable from the above link is, for example, an iPAQ 39xx-only app. Much as I've managed to install it on non-3900 devices too (with some manual hacking), it wasn't able to use their hardware; at start, it reported Speech Init Failed, rc = -13. Others (former users) reported that it was quite bad.

BEWARE OF VITO VOICE2GO TECH SUPPORT. THERE IS NONE!!!!!
I am looking for a product that I can use on Dell AXIM x51v. I need to be able to open up photos and files on the handheld using voice reconition. I tried microsofts voice command and this does not work at that deep of a level. I tried Voice2go, but I had no luck getting help from their tech support or their president of the company. They never gave me my registration key that I needed for the product. I had to explain to the handago company where I purchased the product that VITO does not help you. They to could not get a response from Vito. It looked like the best one out here, but even when I tried the trial version, which is what I think I ha downloaded, it did the function once but never could get it to work again. Even after several wipe and reloads of the product, I had no luck.
Any help on a product that can do the job and that has actually technical support would be greatly appreciated.
This was going to be used for a handycap person, but now Im stuck and don't know what to do or if there is a product that can help. Thank you for taking the time to read.
Hello, I've just answered your post at geekzone forum. After you purchase our products for example at Handango as you did, you get an email with all neccessary info about product usage. Note that you should have downloaded the full version of Voice2Go from Handango after you purchased it (they provide you with the corresponding link).
You also get the e-mail from VITO after purchasing our products. Among other info it says "...Also you can login to your registration acount https://vitotechnology.com/registration.php to download full version of program. Useful links: https://www.vitoTechnology.com/registration.php - your personal account where you can get new registration keys, full versions, updates and customer discounts..."
