Hi
There is a little option in Activesync 4.5 that says: "allow wireless connection on device when connected to desktop". It is checked.
But the stubborn pda still disconnects from the already connected wifi.
HTC8125 WM5 3.3.0.0, win2000SP4, activesync4.5
thanks!

Sadly this is as designed and not a problem. Wireless in this case means cell phone wireless and the ability to get text messages, not the ability to sync by Wi-Fi.
Sorry

Thanks, david
That is lame [8]
BTW, I was told by a David about a piece of software named pdanet. Was it you? It allows the pda to share its internet connection via activesync. It is supposed to support wifi. But if activesync and wifi cannot be used simultaneously, How does this program operate, then?
I´ll check into this myself, too.

I believe you'll find that it claims to "allows your PC/Laptop to go online by connecting to your Pocket PC phone or Windows Mobile phone through the ActiveSync cable, Bluetooth or InfraRed." And not actually through ActiveSync, there is also another program that will allow your PDA to connect simply as a disk drive and not a PDA. These programs bypass ActiveSync and do not actually work with it or through it.
