Backup Software

Does anyone know of a good system back-up software?  I sometimes soft reset my Verizon 6900, and lose anything on the storage card.  I'm looking for something that will backup the device image, including the storage card, and enable me to restore froms elf-extracting file.

Strange files disappear from the card. Are you sure you didn't keep them open? for example, did you close all the apps that could write / keep them open before resetting? for example, Word Mobile etc.

These are program files I place on the storage card.  After a soft reset, the programs are no longer available (stranger is I have SBSH iLauncher and PocketBreeze - the iLauncher works on files in main memory, and PocketBreeze still functions fine except I can no longer access options - all other files are no longer visible or accessable)

That is realy troubling. It definitely should not be happening. I would make sure that the apps are closed. I would ensure my settings allow me to fully close the applications versus just minimizing them in the background.

As for backup applications...I have really had great results from Sprite backup. However, there are many backup programs out there, and our software experts have had great results with various apps.

This problem is pretty common - you don't see the icons of the apps, but if you tap them, they still start?

The reason for this is the comparatively long time mounting the cards takes. Loading the Start menu (last used) icons takes before this; hence the missing icons.

So, the files and programs need to be closed prior to soft reset?  Didn't need to on iPAQ 1950.

Depends on what you kept open - for examplke, did you edit Word files?
