iPAQ HW 6910

Hi, newbie here! Please excuse my ignorance as I'm a bit of a technophobe...I have recently inherited the above iPAQ and was assured it was wifi enabled? The only wifi I can detect is bluetooth ans obviously this is not what I need, I'm sure this can be done as everywhere I look it states the unit is capable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

The 6910 should offer both bluetooth and wifi - two different wireless protocols, with bluetooth used largely for wireless connection to peripherals while wifi is a wireless network connectivity protocol. The 6910 should also support both the b and g versions of standard wifi. If you go to system settings, do yoo see any indication of a WLAN connection manager?

Please download this PDF, manual for your device. When I look at this manual on page 47 of 66 I see instructions on turning on and using Wi-Fi. There are pictures of the icons you need to access. I hope this helps.

I have the manual and was expecting the icon to be there (as it is on the 6915 we have at work) something I have now noticed since ny original post is that the 6910 is only running windows mobile 2003, even though I have the "getting started CD for the HP iPAQ hw 6900 mobile messenger series with windows mobile software" and I've even got the product key!

Help! :-(

I don't happen to have an iPAQ 6910 but from what I'm seeing the 6910 does not appear to come in a version with Windows Mobile 2003. Are you sure that you actually have a iPAQ 6910?
