Please Help!
I own an outdated HP hx2415 PDA/PocketPC - no phone and not configured at all. I have acquired a Verizon XV6800, which I have upgraded with WM6.1. I have an extensive contact list on the HP which I would like to transfer to the Verizon PocketPC.
I need to accomlish this even if the HP PDA has no services at all except those that are preloaded

The simplest way would be to use a host PC since the updated release of WMDC supports all WM versions from 2003 on. If you need a completely on-device option, consider the following. Purchase a microSD that comes with either a CF or SD adapter (since your iPAQ has both types of slots). Install PIM Backup on the card (it is a simple executable that does not require registry entries or an install routine). Run PIM Backup on your hx2415, then put the microSD card into your VX6800 and run the PIM Backup restore function. If you wish to use PIM Backup to also transit messages, make sure the new device has the same messaging folder and subfolder organization as the old device. Since PIM Backup is a direct executable, you can run it off the card on both devices.
