X's - aren't they great?
My x dearest borrowed my 1950, then said, oh I like it so much can I please please please have this one and I'll just get new a new one.
Oh no! said I. Get your own.
'but please it would be new and it would take me forever to work out' he pleaded (he's dyspraxic - amongst many other things)
So this dumbskull said 'yes'.
Over a year later after the split the ipaq has finally been returned. Hoorah!
Of course my dolt of an ex doesn't know what he changed the password to. He has set some thing completely non nonsensical as the password reminder.
Can somebody please tell me what to do? At the moment all I can see is the password screen and his name as the 'owner' - bloody cheek.
X's - Why did we have them? I've not been able to find a copy of the manual - he had that to and non-surprisingly couldn't find it. I had to go and collect my ipaq from a box of things he'd left at the next X's because i had waited that long for him to go and get it.
grrr!
Please help!

You can probably download a copy of the manual in PDF format from HP. Search their site using your model number as the search term.
Without the password, I think your only option will be a hard reset, which will return your iPaq to its factory settings. You will need to reinstall your third-party apps or restore from a earlier backup.
