Not mobile professionals.

News: The "Super Phone" Nokia N95

In a post on smartphonethoughts.com, author Kris Kumar discusses the buzz surrounding the new non-Windows Mobile Nokia N95 Smartphone which includes a GPS sensor and a 5 mega pixel camera. The post said in part:

"The Internet is abuzz with the launch of the Nokia N95. It is being touted as the "super phone." Has Nokia really created a new category? It definitely has a whole bunch of features that I wish were available in my Windows Mobile smart phone. For starters it has GPS sensor. How long do we have to wait to see that as a standard Windows Mobile smart phone feature. The N95 has a generous 2.6” screen. It has a 5 Mega-pixel, yes a 5 Mega-pixel camera. The amazing thing about the camera is that it features Carl Zeiss lens with auto-focus. It has TV-out capability to play back the videos directly from the device."

Will Smartphones like the N95 become the standard for the next generation of mobile devices?

Article: Trends In Field Service Automation

In an article in the Apr/May 2007 issue of Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine, author discusses field services being more effective and efficient. He said in part:

"
What happens to your productivity if the air conditioning unit at the office takes a vacation on a steamy summer day? Or what if the copy machine decides to start smoking while printing your presentation handouts five minutes before the big meeting? How do you feel when the power goes out right as you put your feet up to watch the big game? And what would you do if a malfunctioning piece of medical equipment caused injury to you or a family member? As consumers, most of us simply take maintenance and repair services for granted. We are totally oblivious and don't even think about it until something breaks. We just want things fixed as soon as possible. We don't care how it gets done, we want it done now."
