News: BlackBerry, Windows Mobile Patches Address Time Changes

In an article on pdastreet.com, author James Alan Miller discusses the Daylight Savings Time updates provided by Microsoft and Research in Motion. He said in part:

"Changes to the dates when Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts and ends could cause problems for your Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone or BlackBerry, causing these devices to display incorrect times from when DST begins to when it ends. Both Research In Motion (RIM) and Microsoft address this with downloads and instructions on their respective Web sites."

If your device is showing the wrong time, be sure to download these updates.

Article: The iPhone at Work?

Unless you've been living under a rock the past seven months, you've no doubt experienced the nationwide phenomenon that is Apple's newest gadget, the iPhone. Piggybacking off the success experienced by the iPod, Apple seems to have once again hit a serious home run in the consumer electronics market. Supporters have praised it for its sleek interface and ease of use, while others have berated it for its restrictions, which include its closed platform and exclusive contract with carrier AT&T. Still, others say it lacks sufficient security and complain about the $500-$600 price tag. "They want how much for that thing!?"
