Untangle the mess:
TangledBugs

David over at Pocketgamer.org (still my main source of game listings and game news after all these years... thanks for sticking around so long, David) has been reviewing some of the free games listed on the XFLib Web site. For those who don't know, XFLib is a free library designed for Pocket PC development. The free games are meant to promote the library.

TangledBugs is a mess. More specifically, it's a mess of insects tangled up in a spider web. Your job is to untangle all of them by tapping and dragging them until they're free. At the start of each level, the lines are white, and when they turn green, it means they are free. You might think this would be about as much fun as, say, untangling all those cables in back of your computer (shudder!), but the game is actually pretty well conceived and isn't a bad way of spending time if you like idea, which is a bit off the beaten path. The graphics also make a big difference in this game, and while they're simple, they don't appear to be randomly slapped together just to get the game out the door. Two game modes are offered: an open game mode with no time limit and a timed mode. The game doesn't involve a ton of processing power or any special effects to speak of, but it's a nice little diversion and worth your time.

I should point out that the game is still a work in progress at the time of this review, and so it will be updated accordingly.
